Institute for Future Fiction

The Institute for Future Fiction seeks to advance discourse on literary and genre fiction that focuses on plausible future states.

Writers such as H.G. Wells, Robert Heinlein, and Michael Crichton captured our imaginations with what was possible. But they also provided cautionary tales with everyday heroes who confronted the results of choices they and others had made.

The Institite seeks to:

  • Create a forum for such work
  • Promote a deep understanding of reality-rooted futures
  • Encourage influencers and policy makers to make decisions that will most likely result in a favorable outcome

In summary, The Institute for Future Fiction seeks to inform, on a visceral level, choices - those before us, and those before our social, political and corporate leaders.
