The Inevitable by dhtreichler

The Inevitable Book CoverShould the banks decide not to purchase US government debt, what is the alternative? The US government has purchased much of it to fund social security, but the cash requirements of that fund require a certain amount of liquidity. Thus the US must rely on the larger markets to fund its profligacy.

Speculation has been that US might threaten or declare a bankruptcy. Such a threat would send the global markets into chaos.

And chaos is what those who wish to change the balance of power in the world await.

This novel looks at four families, one in Austin, Texas, one in New Delhi, India, one in London, England and the fourth in Sacramento, California. Each represents a different stratum of society. Each suffers the effects on their hopes and dreams in an emerging new world. Each suffers differently from the actions of those who have waited for this moment to change the world order in their favor.

The Inevitable seeks to send a sobering message to those who think doubling the US national debt in ten years has no consequences. They are playing with an unknown future, but one that could lead to the future depicted here.
